Evaluation Question 2: How Does Your Media Product Represent Particular Social Groups?

I will use my front cover against a Billboard front cover to explain how my magazine represents particular social groups.

Both of the girls are facing the camera with a smile on their face, both holding their guitars. In both pictures the guitar seems to be a main aspect of thr artist, displaying the fact thay they write their own music and are independant artists. Both of them are in the sunshine. Although my artist is facing the front fully which could give her a more approachable look whereas Billboards artist appears to be walking away but looking over her shoulder. I chose to take the backround out of my picture because i felt it took away focus on my artist, in Billboard it very much makes the artist.

My magazine is aimed at men and women in their mid teens to early 20's. By using my artist 'Chloe Clover'  i think i have represented this well. The magazine it aimed at men and women although overall if i were to put the mag on sale i think figures would show women having a greater interest. When questioned about the magazine both boys and girls of my age said they'd read it.

The colour scheme for my magazine changes depending on the artist feature in that issue. Therefore this issue is green and white as Chloe Clover is Irish and i kept to this theme the whole way through the magazine. The competition on the front will attract older and younger crowds as the prize could appeal to many people.
